George Street, the historic entertainment district in downtown St. John’s, Newfoundland, is celebrating its big birthday bash festival this summer. The festival, which will take place on Friday, June 30th, and Saturday, July 1st, promises to be a weekend full of fantastic live music both on the street and in the bars for the afterparty.
The first day of the festival will be headlined by Dropkick Murphys, a Celtic punk band from Boston, Massachusetts. Joining them will be At Ship’s End, a popular local band known for their energetic live shows and catchy melodies. With these two amazing acts, the first day of the festival is sure to be a memorable one.
The second day of the festival, Saturday, July 1st, will see an incredible lineup of musicians taking the stage. Tim Baker & All Hands, a Canadian indie folk band known for their heartfelt lyrics and soulful sound, will kick off the day's performances. Following them will be Half Moon Run, an indie rock band from Montreal, Quebec, known for their intricate harmonies and soaring melodies. Rounding out the lineup will be Billianne, a St. John’s-based singer-songwriter whose powerful voice and introspective lyrics are sure to leave an impression.
